What are wood wool firelighters?
Wood wool firelighters are bundles of fine timber shavings ("wood wool") dipped in wax. Light the tip and each one burns with a strong, steady flame for up to 10 minutes — long enough to catch your kindling and get logs burning without firelighter fluid or scrunched-up newspaper. Because they contain no paraffin, they are odourless, safe to handle and won't taint food, making them ideal firelighters for log burners, wood burning stoves, open fires, BBQs, chimineas, fire pits and pizza ovens.

How to light a fire with wood wool firelighters
- Place one or two firelighters in your grate, stove or fire pit.
- Build a small "tent" of dry kindling wood over the top.
- Light the wood wool tip — the wax-coated shavings catch immediately.
- Once the kindling is burning well, add your kiln dried logs.
